In 2023, I led the machine-learning contribution to SIMPaCT, a NSW Government-funded urban irrigation project developed with Sydney Water, Sydney Olympic Park Authority, and research and industry partners.
The project deployed more than 200 sensors across Bicentennial Park and delivered predictive decision support for heat mitigation and water conservation. It received multiple awards and was a finalist in the World Smart City Awards in Barcelona.
